It takes a while to compile all the
glowing articles about Ivory Madison in such a long list of Pulitzer
Prize-winning publications. It might take ten minutes, even twelve.
We don’t have that kind of time.

February 2007: The San Francisco Film Noir Festival
unveils its new poster featuring Ivory Madison, crowned Ms. Noir
City 2007. Okay then, where’s my crown.
Ivory
Madison will be plastered all over San Francisco, and it won’t
be the first time. Appearing in the poster with her is the man selected
Mr. Noir City 2007, Robert Mailer Anderson. Both Ivory and Robert
do more than just stand there looking pretty. Well, not in the poster;
in the poster that is all they do. But aside from that, both are
writers, lifelong aficionados of film noir, and native San Franciscans.
Although it wasn’t possible to do so on the poster, they both
want to emphasize to the general public and their significant others
that it took work to look as seedy and obnoxious as they appear in
the poster. It didn’t come naturally.
July/August 2006: Pages magazine. Short, flattering article filled
with truly good advice about writing. Read it here.
March 2006: California Lawyer magazine. Insanely
flattering article with two-page “centerfold” of my
brilliant legal mind. Read it here.
July 2005: San Francisco Magazine. I am named “Best
Writing Coach” in the San Francisco Bay Area. I subsequently
raise my rates.
